Deliverable 5.3: Data Management and Ethics Plan
This deliverable presents SURIMI’s Data Management Plan, setting out how data and research outputs are managed, reused and shared in support of the project’s socio-ecological modelling and Digital Twin Ocean integration activities. It describes how the project applies FAIR principles to make data findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable, including through standardised metadata, open-access repositories, interoperability protocols and long-term storage approaches. The plan also addresses data security, GDPR compliance, ethical considerations and stakeholder involvement in data management, providing a framework for handling SURIMI data and outputs in a consistent, secure and reusable way.
Deliverable 5.1: SURIMI Project Manual
This deliverable presents the SURIMI Project Manual, which provides consortium partners with guidance on the procedures, rules and materials used to support project implementation. It outlines key operational information, including deliverable requirements and deadlines, project events, milestones, document storage and exchange procedures, and standards for internal and external communication. The public version of the manual has been redacted where necessary to protect confidential project information and comply with GDPR requirements.
Deliverable 4.1: Visualisation framework for marine socio ecological data
This deliverable sets out the technical specifications for the SURIMI Data Graphical User Interface, which is designed to support the visualisation and analysis of marine data and metadata. It describes the expected role of the interface in relation to the SURIMI Data Lake and outlines the functional and non-functional requirements identified through stakeholder input, survey responses and contributions from project partners. The report also presents the proposed conceptual architecture for the Data GUI and compares relevant open-source tools for data visualisation and metadata management, providing a technical basis for the development of SURIMI’s data exploration and management interface.
Deliverable 2.1: Analytical framework for marine socio-ecological data curation
This deliverable describes the data framework supporting SURIMI’s marine socio-ecological modelling activities, with a particular focus on the SURIMI Data Lake as a harmonised access point for project datasets. It outlines how relevant fisheries, ecological, environmental and socio-economic data are identified, assessed, acquired and managed in line with FAIR principles and the project’s Data Management and Exploitation Plan. The deliverable also describes methods for improving interoperability across datasets with different spatial, temporal and structural characteristics, including protocols tested through Western Mediterranean case studies. It provides the methodological basis for integrating data into the SURIMI modelling suite and supporting its connection to the European Digital Twin Ocean.
Deliverable 1.5: SURIMI toolbox’s co-design
This deliverable reports on SURIMI’s first stakeholder workshop, which brought together fisheries stakeholders to introduce the project, present the scientific models being integrated, and gather input to inform the development of the SURIMI Toolbox. The workshop explored stakeholder needs and concerns related to data, decision-making, model integration and the design of the toolbox interface. The report summarises the main discussions and findings, including stakeholder questions around model uncertainty, data quality, model integration and potential use by decision-makers, providing a record of the co-design process supporting SURIMI’s tool development.
